Being a Kid Wasn't So Bad :)

Being surrounded by a kid's world has reminded me how simple things used to be.  When the biggest thing you had to worry about today is who's going to play the next game of Skip Bo with you, and you play your heart out outside until the very last minute before the final "Come inside, it's bedtime!" is called.  Where total honesty is all you know.  No pretending, no trying to impress anyone.  Total transparency, utter dependance on other people to teach you and love you.... and I would have to agree, some things should never change. Why do we think God refers to himself as our Father?  He could have chosen anything else... Master, Brother, Friend, (I know He is also these things too, but mostly called Father).  I believe He wants nothing less from us.  No pretending, no trying to impress anyone.  Total transparency, utter dependance on Him to teach us and love us.  How different my life would look if I lived that way every moment of the day.
Doing reading on my bed with Felice.
 So much green!!!! Me likes!!!
                                                  Even Oranges?! :)
Jen, Racquel, Alton and Gloria in "the country"
Same moon and stars..... so many miles away.
                                                 Racquel loves her backpack :)

AND.... Arrow and I have got this game down... In our sleep!!
So, in the past couple of days I have done several things along with the regular (which includes playing Skip Bo with Arrow, helping out with Racquel, playing outside, doing "piano lessons" with Arrow and Felice, and just whatever else needs done in between).  I went with Jen and the kids one day out where they ride horses.  The pastor's daughter (Whitney) teaches them to ride on some land outside of San Salvador a little ways.  I got to see banana trees, orange trees with green oranges ;), coconuts on palm trees, and a toucan bird fly out of a hole on the palm tree!!  Tomorrow is one of my official days off, so the plan is to go out with Whitney for the day.  The kids from an orphanage come out on Fridays, so she said she could use some help, and I am looking forward to that.  Also got to watch Alton play in a basketball tournament and get a medal!! That was cool :)  I've seen Envision Wired Center, eaten $3.00 Chinese food (Awesome by the way), and learned a lot of new Spanish words!!  While sitting on a balcony every night looking at the same moon and stars as all of you :)  Today Felice and I played Beauty Parlor and did each other's hair and nails.  Such a blast.
Pray for continued strength for the Mullinax family as they live each day fully here, yet preparing for their shift back to the States in July.  Also, for health for everyone.  I had a ridiculous cold when I got here, but am about over it now.  Several of them have been fighting it as well.  Thank you so much to all of you who have poured out your love for Jesus through your love and prayers for me!! I so appreciate it!!!
